The Diocese of Lancaster is celebrating its centenary year during 2025. To mark this special occasion, a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes is touring each Catholic primary and secondary school in the Diocese.

The statue visited our school on Wednesday 18th June, delivered by the pupils from St Cuthbert's Catholic Primary School, Carlisle.

To show reverence to the statue, we had a whole school assembly to welcome Our Lady to St Margaret Mary's and children created prayers, poetry and art work which were then added to a collective Centenary scrapbook.

During prayer group time, the children were invited to pray the Rosary or write down further prayers and intentions to Mary. 

On Friday 20th June, our Liturgical Lead and Prayer and Liturgy Leaders delivered the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes to St John Henry Newman Catholic School who joined us in a prayer.
