Absence

How to report an absence

Please contact the school on 01228 401800 before 9:00 am to report an absence. Please state clearly your child’s name and the reason for the absence.  School may contact you to discuss the nature of the absence and to provide support to enable all children to achieve the best level of attendance possible.

School monitors all absence closely and will invite parents for attendance meetings if a child’s attendance give cause for concern, or there are patterns of absence.

Parents of children with attendance below 90% will be involved in attendance panel meetings to ensure attendance improves.

We encourage all children to attend school regularly and will provide rewards for excellent attendance.

If you would like to discuss your child's absence further, including any challenges you might be having in bringing your child to school, you can speak with our Pastoral Lead, Miss Natalie Hansbury, about how we can support. Miss Hansbury can be contacted on 01288 401800.
