St Margaret Mary Catholic Primary School
The new Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was formed on 1 November 2020 by Bishop Paul Swarbrick, Bishop of Lancaster. There are six churches within our Parish : Our Lady & St Wilfrid, Our Lady & St Joseph, St Bede, St Margaret Mary, Christ the King and St Augustine.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help is served by three priests: Canon Luiz Ruscillo, Fr Paul Harrison Fr Oliver Siandele and Fr Anthony Gaskin and assisted by Deacon Bill Kirkley.
The parish includes three Catholic Primary Schools, St Cuthbert’s, St Bede’s and St Margaret Mary’s, and also the high school St John Henry Newman Catholic School and Austin Friars school. The Catholic patients in the Hospitals, the Hospice and the various care homes remain under the care of the priests and the parish.
The celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass takes place every day. The Mass is, for the Catholic Christian, the high point of the day since the Eucharist is the ‘source and summit’ of all we do.
All Catholics are encouraged to attend the celebration of Mass as often as possible. The times of the celebration of Mass is listed below.
If you would like Mass celebrated for a particular intention then please complete one of the ‘Mass Intention’ envelopes found in the porch of the church.
